Well i have the service abs/ service traction lights coming on.Keith can you help me? i suck at electrical crap. The code i am getting is C1225H. It goes away when i restart the car, but soon as i hit a bump in the road it goes off again. I heard you can fix/ clean the connectors for the EBCM. I would appreciaye any help you could give me.

I'm all over this one, Did all of this myself over the winter. If you take it to a dealer get ready to be raked over the coals. Good news is it's easy to fix if you put in the time to trouble shoot it.

Start here

One thing to add that's I didn't put on this page is to check the brake fluid level. probably not that lucky, but it's worth a look.

Check on forums.corvetteforum.com in both the C5 Tech and C5 General sections, there's a ton of info.

C1225 RF Excessive Wheel Speed Variation
try unplugging the RF wheel speed sensorr and cleaning the connecttions. Pay special attention to the female ends.

I'll be back sunday night if you need any more help

Lancer033
Keith

C1233 RF Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted

if should throw that code when it's disconnected. Make sure you've got it hooked up good. It's possible that it's the jumper harness. You can try disconnecting the jumper harness and swapping the right side for the left side. If the code then shows a problem with the left side, you'll just need to replace the jumper harness. If not, you'll need new wheel bearing/hub assembly. Order the Timken brand from Auto Zone. They are exactly the same as OEM, but ~$150 vs. ~$300 at the dealer.

directions for replacing them can be found here.

Someone else will need to back me up on this, but I have been told to always replace bearings in axel sets, so You'll need to do both front bearings. It's a pretty simple job. The hardest part is seperating the lower ball joint, but a hammer will take care of that.

C1232 LF Wheel Speed Circuit Open or Shorted

Assuming you switched the 2 jumper harness, i'll bet that jumper harness is the problem. Check the connecters again, make sure nothing is bent, dirty or corroded or anything else that would keep the electrons flowing, if so clean it or bend it back, if all looks good, replace the jumper harness.
