I have a 2000 trans am, and when i am on the track, I shift into third gear at about 5600 rpm but it seems the the clutch isn't engaging. however, on the street under normal driving conditions, it is fine.

It sounds like a clutch to me. Does it take a little bit to get going when you get on it on the autobahn?

Have you done the drill mod?
