Anybody here put a PCV catch can on your motor yet? I read that some/most LS1 come up blowing varying amounts of oil in the TB ... causing intermittent KR and stuff ... guess I'm going to pick up a little fuel filter and some hose to put it in these days, see how much oil I come up with ...

Yep, got one myself. It does catch oil for sure. Not too much, but definitely some. Mine seems to burn more than it swallows through the can. Looks like maybe 100ml in 5000miles.
Try moving your fan temps down a fixed amount, that helps with KR too.
I think stock thermo will let you run at 90*C, I have a Hypertech 160 and run at 80*C all the time. So far around 6000miles no problem.
TAQuickness on ls1tech/efilive used to sell them, $30 I think with all the tubes and clamps required.

I moved the fan temp down a bit on the last couple tunes, #1 78 and #2 84 degrees ... down from 108/112 stock ...

If you want to fix a different way, swap the valley cover for the LS6 valley cover and you won't have that problem anymore. I was eating oil like it was going out of style due to the racing. I swaped the valley cover for a LS6 cover from Thunder Racing and 4 hours of work later problem solved!! If your going to do this talk to me first to make it easier for you, it's not just pull off & put the new one on.

Mine is Val. If it is an LS6 block then you don't have to grind the lifter valley. I did notice though that the diamond pistons are scratching my cylinder walls just like they did on Bruce's motor. I am going to punch it .10 over in the states to clean it up.

I did the grind thing and no more problems. If it's scratching the walls it's time to get some new ones!!
