JeeJee the alternator will make power in what ever direction it spins. You just may have to adapt a cooling fan to it for proper cooling.

L36 has it on the passenger side ... rectifiers/diodes take care of the right output current ...

the direction in which it rotates (alternator not waterpump)is not a problem. :D
As a matter of fact the alternator as it came on the engine would fit right in the car, but then i don't have much room for a (future)supercharger because on the passengerside there is not enough room for one...
And now the engine is not in the car yet so i have all the time to measure and make all the right parts so i can bolt it in the car in a short time when it is running and don't have much downtime then.

Garry, the L38 what kind of engine is that, and would the alternator fit the ls1 you think ?
I might fit it where the aircocompressor normally is located, although i propably first have to find out if there would be many choise in such a short belt, just run it on the crank and alternator
Normally i allways make the mounts myself, but if there ARE any that would fit, i don't have to re-invent the wheel
