Hello,

what is the different between the LT1 and the LS1 steering rack?
I bought a steering rack (part# 26019441 CAV1).
I think this is foe the LT1.
I see the angle from connection to the steering shaft is differently to my original rack, and the steering shaft knocks on my headers, if I inserted it.
My original steering rack has the number: 26048277.
Who can help me?

Thanks Markus

GM Parts direct says one rack fits all. But I ve seen there is a different part number for LS1 and LT1 and also between the V6.

The new part number for the LS1 Rack is 26044844

If I am not mistaking they all fit or? I think its just the steering ratio is different on them.
