what would you guys choose for yourself , and why ?

i have sold a couple of parts and am thinking about either
the centtrifugal vortech does have more room to grow -upto 680HP as compared to the smaller maggie ( unfortunately i think a procharger D1 is a bit out of the budget  ) so a vortech v2 / v1 would more likely fit the bill

I have researched this a lot and decided to go with the Magnuson. If you stick with the stock boost pulleys, you get the 3 year/ 36000 mile warranty. looking at all of the OEM car manufacturers that use them, I thought of both power and reliability. The Vortech and KB can make more power, but at the expense of doing some motor work to get bullet proof internals and over 600HP. I don;t need that much. The maggie also can go higher boost, but I figure a 150HP boost with a drivetrain warranty, is not all to bad giving me about 550-560 reliable crank power.

I should get mine in the next few weeks and a new carbon hood to allow for the higher clearance.

Ciao,
Autobahnz06gt

Ive been wonding about FI too. Ive been more wanting a turbo system but the SC seems to be easier than most. Im interested in the Maggie but im not too comfortable about cutting into my firewall.

Centrifugal supercharger is the way to go, whether you go with Procharger or Vortech, that's a hard decision. Over the last few years I see a lot of guys going with Procharger.

On the other hand, the Vortech hooks right up to the LS1 intake which is nice.

Not 100% sure, but the Maggie might require some cutting of the cowl area and is know to slightly rub against the hood. The Maggie has almost instant boost and much longer life. While the Vortech will have more top end power. I think the Maggie is bettre option for packaging reasons.

The maggie 112HH has better rotor's and has more higher rpm power than a regular maggie 112. The maggie 122 I have can make 600+ rwhp with a decent H/C setup. Mine is making between 570-590rwhp with a crap intake & N/A cam. With a FI cam I could gain 20-30 rwhp and around 20-25 rwhp with a better intake & larger TB.

I would go with the D1 as thats what i am doing and putting a moser 9" and looking to upgrade the engine either go with a 383 stroker or see what the weight increase is on a LSX and go full FI and i am looking for 500-550rwhp and with room to grow with the D1 and go to 700+ one day
