One of my friend want a new housing and axle package for his 1999 camaro LS1 with 6-speed. He want 3.77 12 bolt.

What do you think should be the best to buy? Maybe i want to buy at summitracing.com. The car has a little bit over 650 hp.

Try Exotic Performance Plus
If your friend is pushing that much PS , Get the Ford Nine inch.

nono its called dana 60 or a 14-bolt gm. (hihi).

Yeah the nine inch is definatly a better choice for the stick(t-56) considering the 3,77 ratio.

How about a 12 bolt with 4.56's. Now, those are fun. :)

Really any aftermarket rearend will be good. The Dana 60 seems to be a great way to go, but I only have experience with the Moser 12.

Ford 9 in - Heaviest, easiest to set up, consumes the most horsepower, very tough
Dana 60 - Mid weight, toughest, middle on consumption of horsepower, harder to set up
12 Bolt - Lighest, least consumption of horsepower, harder to set up, weakest of the three

Depends on what he wants. Prices vary depending on where you get it and if there is a salel going on. Strange does a lot of 12 bolts and Dana's, Moser does the 9 in and 12 bolt, DTS does all three I think.

Hope this helps.

What means 31-spline, 33-spline, etc.

Is 9in Ford achsle always 3.77?

31 spline is the the number splines that engage in the differential and determines the diameter of the axle.
The more splines the bigger the diameter the axle.
a Ford nine inch axle is not always 3.77. The axle ratios can range from 2.20 to 6.50. I have personally counted 50 different axle ratios for the nine inch.
