How do I go about logging to see if I have an intermittently faulting coil?

When I get on it pretty ghard I will occasionally get what sounds like a miss and I lose some power. Also, I think I may still be going through spark plugs....even with my Ed tune.

I don't have EFI here with right now . but it should be logging misfires , then select all cylinders.

Thanks Roy. Shouldn't I see something with the wideband also?

Given that the WB measures the oxygen, you should see a lean condition, question is if you have the WB on the same side where the misfire occurs, and if 1/4 misfire is enough to be noticeable ...

Ahhh. Thats true. Mine is on the driver side. Maybe I will switch it over and see what happens.

You can "see" the misfire in the NB 02 sensor pattern, but only with a scope. The scanner isnt fast enough.
Your misfire counter should give you a hint as to what cylinder. Also, if you can get it to do it consistently at idle, you can use your cylinder balance test to isolate it even further. It wont tell you what component, but it will narrow it down to the cylinder.
As for the plugs, are they getting black? The fuel trims were pretty close. Do you have a data log you can post or send me?
