Let me know when we are tearing into it the rest of the way, I'm Short now, but I have to go there next week to put an H-pipe on a car for a buddy, I'm borrowing it so I'm goign to put the H-pipe on and change his door handles:)

We can get the rest out in half a day on the lift, and that's being really, really slow:)

Well, I am back from the States and got to work on the car again. Unfortunately, I do not have pics because my wife stayed in the states with the camera.

I got a good amount of progress done with what I have. I was able to get the oil pan off to reveal the damage. Obviously the block is gone since it had a hole, bu tI also lost a crank a rod and a piston....possibly the cam also. I think all the lifters and pushrods survived. I don't know what went first, but the #7 rod bolt definately snapped in half (most likely cause) and the rod is pretty much non-existent.
There was a lot more damage to the inside of the block and some inside of the oil pan from the rod and piston just kinda bouncing around.

I am still looking for a cherry picker. I will only need it for all of about 30 minutes because the motor is almost completely disassembled and the motor mount bolts are out. The only thing holding the shortblock in is the 6 upper tranny mounts!

I'll get pics up as soon as I can.

Yes, I have the tune that was running in the car something like 2-3 runs before the motor gave in ...

A few things that caught my eye was the VE table.
The PE rpm modifier {b3618} It goes into 14.5 to 1 AFR from 2000 to 2399 rpm and 14.16 from 4800 to 5199rpm

The spark high octane table {b5918} looks like stairs
The spark low octane tabel should mirror the high . but both tables are screwey.

DTC processing enablers and DTC enablers : Quite a few are turned off .
Judging from your MAF perimeters you are still using one.

I am no hot shot when it comes to tuning. But that tune looks to be nothing but problems. I w0uld start with a stock tune and a wideband and go from there with the auto ve process.

Interesting. Thats funny you say that.

It was just tuned by Ed from Hp Factory when he was here a couple of months ago.

I will have to look at what you are talking about and see if I can see what you are seeing. I have no clue on the tuning stuff that is why I paid Ed to do it.

Long live the "continuation"! J/K. Hotrod screw you. ;) Sounds like tuning may have been an issue all along but you are definitely going to have to get that confirmed.

Somebodys been messin with the tune, if thats what you see in the PE. I have the tune right here in front of me, that I did, and the PE is set to 13:1 across the board.
There are a bunch of DTC enablers that were set to no error. They were already turned off.
Should I have turned them back on? Probably. But even if I saw them, I dont know if I would have, cause I could have caused more problems than I'd be fixing.
How are the spark tables screwy? Exactly?
Also, the plugs should be white.
BTW, I'll post my last version of the tune on EFIlive forum, so you can see. And you'll be able to see that it hasnt been modified since then either. No changes in the history since March 26th.
One more question, how did the tune break a rod bolt?

Ironic how its always the tuners fault.
The file that Roy sent me, is the original tune from your car. If you remember correctly (and I'm sure you do) I left your car in SD. Remember, you've been yelling at me about that for quite some time.
Well, if you go through this tune that Roy sent me, its still the MAF tune. The VE is the same. The PE is still hacked beyond belief. That IS NOT the tune I left in the car. Roy has the latest version of your tune.
If we are going to point fingers, at least do it honestly.
