I have been looking on EBAY for an LS6 intake or a similar intake. I saw this intake "97-02 LS1 LS6 Camaro Firebird 96mm Satin Qualifier Intake & Hardware" would this mount on my 98 LS1 engine without changing anything? Thanks in Advance

I wouldn't get it. Your stock fuel rails won't fit and the quality of the intake looks terrible. I would hold out until I found a used LS6 intake. Make sure you run the numbers off the used LS6 intakes before purchase. The early corvette LS1 intakes looks exactly like an LS6 intake because the EGR port is solid. Have you looked on LS1tech.com under the "Sales" section?

It would be a direct bolt on. Also, did you order your headers for the 98-99 model, 01-02 model, or just the race version? The reason I am asking is because The EGR pipe for your model has a tube that runs from the passenger side exhaust to the center/front of the intake. The LS6 intake does not have this port and you would need to block off the tube mount on the header. If you ordered the race version, then no need to block off because the mount is not there to begin with.

I just looked at the TSP headers an they do not have the EGR ports. That is good news. Bad news is that it will throw an EGR code in the ECM. We will have to disable the MIL code light for the EGR. Too easy, I did the same to my friends 99 Camaro when he installed MAC headers.
