I'm picking them up tommorow and I want to install them ASAP. Does anyone know where to buy the C clip eliminator kit. The c clips are what hold the axles into the gear box. I know there is a way to eliminate these clips to make the rear end alot stronger.
two more ?
1. where would be the best place to order a complete engine LT4 sensor kit i'm talking everything from the intake to the oil pan to the transmission.
2. is there a cheaper place to order a new wiring harness besides GM.
I'm trying to eliminate all headaches once it's all togther and running.

showing my ignorance here, but besides the knock module, what is differant between LT1 and LT4 sensors? Unless your talking about the mass air also, because of the 28# injectors.

Ryan, try http://www.painlesswiring.com . They do harnesses and stuff. Don't know if they have what you need, but worth a try.

Ryan
you might want to send Moser Engineering an email on the C clip eliminators.
They told me they will not stand upt to the rigors of every day street driving and will fail if used in auto cross , road racing or getting happy in the twisties. The C clips forte is drag racing only.In case you bust an axle it will not walk out on you and giv your car a free tub job.

I was seriously considering 4.10 gears also. I figure the car has a 6 speed and only tachs at 2,000 rpm while doing 80 mph right now. The only fear I have is that I will be hurting performance because I won't be able to get any traction. Any thoughts on this?

The ford 9 in does not have c clips. C -clip eliminater is for drag racing and should not be tested in the twistees.

4.10's are good for a N/A car. If you plan on adding power adders, look into a set of 3.73's or keep the stockers... That is what I am doing.....

traction issue is no worse with the 4.10's, and probably helps gas mileage because 6th is now a useable gear.
If you go PA like George said, then you probably would be better off with 3.42.
Definetally the best SOTP bang for the buck I have done, it will make you feel like you added 50hp.

Right now I am leaning towards heads, cam and nitrous. Just looking for low 12's for now, but I know once I get there I will want more. I just think that 6th gear is worthless right now. Hmm, 4.10s about $200, I think that might be do able. I know when I put 3.73s in my Mustang(it had 2.73s) I was all worried because I didn't want it to be to much and after I put them in I was like man, I should have gotten 4.10s. The 3.73s just weren't enough. So I would probably choose the 4.10s. I will have to ponder this a little while.

I have heard that even the good driver will hurt with 4.10's I guess it would depend if you are spraying out of the hole or not.... 150rwhp shot of good ole TNT N2O will make those 4.10's reach redline really quick....

I can't say that I have ever used NOS before. I was thinking I would hit it in second after I had launched and found some traction again. I don't even know what to do. Heck $200 for 4.10 gears and it will probably be 2 years before I ever get the heads and cam, so I could always change the gears to 3.73 if the 4.10s turn out to be to much.

FWIW NOS is the bigest bang for the buck when setup correctly and you could get 12s with that single mod. Done wrong and and it could be the most expensive mod.
