I am sick of looking at my car, parked out side of my house. I have had a couple of leads as to where and who can fix my tranny or where to buy a used one but I am not really getting anywhere. These people seem to want to charge out rageous $$ for labor and I have had a few "backyard" guys offer service but I dont trust them. It about getting to the point where I am looking at other LT1 F-bodies and thinking to myself...." I wonder how fast I can get that tranny out, 1 hr 2 tops? I think I can get it out before he comes back."
I am asking you guys if you can look into this for me if you have any friends of friends who can repair it or one for sale or any phone numbers I can call I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Jeff

Billy Graham needs to get his priorities straight. I did call him and he wont sell you just the tranny, he wants to sell you the flywheel, clutch likage, clutch and pressure plate, T/O bearing, tranny, shifter all for $2000. Why would anyone buy all that sh*t if all they needed was the tranny? The cheapest I have found so far is a re-built unit from Liberty Performance in Mi. for $1200 no core required.
LS1 trannys wont work, the input shaft is of different length.
Still looking,
Jeff

If you have not gotten it fixed yet I will contact a guy here. (Spang-Bitburg area) He has a 95ish TA that he rebuilt and owns a Mach shop. I will get his number and post if here so that you can call him. He does take the VAT Form also so that will save on the $$$$.

I dont have any leads, but I know that there are several rebuild kits avail for the T5. I'm sure they (who, I dont know) make a similar kit for the T56. Guessing a full rebuild kit would run around 5 bills. That may give you the option of upgrading to "Viper" tough also.
BTW G, I'm sure you have rebuilt a couple of hydro-matics also.
