Do 96' Camaros have some sort of elec choke on them? Reason I ask is because my car idles at about 1100 when I first start it up in the morning.... then when I shift my car into D it feels like I'm N dropping it slightly but after sh warms up she goes into drive with no problems...... is this somthing I should be worried about? I just had my tranny rebuilt about 4 months ago and added a TRANS-GO shift kit.... if that makes a difference... Thanks in advance for the help!

A few other things have poped up as well..... my car won't downshift from 2nd to 1st when I floor it in 2nd.... but that might be due to the new gear ratio I have in there.... since it is still on the stock shift points.... and when I shift it manually from 1st to 2nd at about 5G's I hear a clunk noise from the rear end....... any help out there?

Mine does the same thing. When I first fire it up it will idle a little high for a few seconds, (about 20 sec) then calm down to its familiar little lope:)
As for the clunking check your u-joints, may have a loose one and also check your pinion, make sure its tight also.
Cant help you to much with that slushbox!
