Well I have decided to keep the Z instead of upgrading to a newer WS6, so now comes all of the mods I have been waiting to do until the car was paid off. But I have a question about what new rear end to get. From what I hear the 9" is supposed to be stronger than the 12 Bolt but does anyone know by how much? I am looking for a kit with 3.73 gears in it that is ready to bolt up (no assembly required).... can anyone help me out??? Thanks! :?:

Order a Strange and all you do gotta do is drop it in. 12". If you are going just in a straight line then yeah do the 9" but if you want a little of both the 12 is the way to go and it's lighter. Go to Cz28.com in the GP section they always have something goin on w/ rears in there.

12 inch .........

While the 9inch offers easy gear ratio changes with a removeable carrier I would rather go with the 12 bolt mainly because the gears in a 9 inch are highly Frictionally Inneficient....

The 12 bolts gears will transmit 3% more ponies to the ground....if your making 500hp thats another 15 to the ground

Also its a Chevrolet and you shouldn't contaminate your Camaro with drunken monkey style engineering that ford has to offer....

and if your looking for every last ounce (3% is more of a chunk) of power go with the 12 bolt.
