I just put a set of hooker long tubes on my car......they are running completely open....
I started the car and the dummy light came on.....I scanned it and found error #48 MAF system malfunction....I hooked it up to my computer and saw the maf was measuring air just fine.....I check the wiring and its all ok......what could the problem be?

I found a broken ground wire for something ...I fixed that.....I added 16" header extensions to the long tubes like thunder racing told me to.....still check engine light....now im fonfused....maybe cause I didnt clear the codes? doesn't removing the PCM BAT fuse in the dash clear codes?

Try and surf around at http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/guides.htm
There are a couple of other sites on there that may help you.

very stupid...The 12volt Power supply pin on the MAF sensor was bent over...
I am so very very stupid
I was just about to tear my whole car apart to inspect the wiring. has the tools out and everything..
What i dont get is how could LT1 Edits free scanning utility be able to tell me how much airflow the motor was getting if the MAF had no power?
