The new headers added soo much torque they slowed me down!!!!
I need a set of slicks pronto
I asked my dad to watch me and he said the tires were pooooring smoke all the way down.... I mean I could tell the car was spinning because it was fishtailing all the way to the 1/8th but WOW.....
MY 60' was .3 slow

I ran as slow as 13.90 @ 103 when I matted it off the line....
and Eaaaaaaaaasing into it it still put the tires up in smoke
running 13.40 @ 104.55

the extra torque the headers added is astonishing! It feels like I have two LT1s under the hood now!

Im gonna see about buying some stickies next week so I can bury my ets deep into the 12s .....

oh yeah I may even think about possibly some 28s because i got a new cam and when I put it in I will need some bigger gears in the rear to keep the revs up high and I may need a bigger tire as well

I just sold a pair of ET streets yes they rock but could destroy your rear end. Where are you stationed at I have something that could help you out sitting in my bedroom?

hehe danix I think he was talking to me.....

But to answer you danix I bought hooker super comp long tube headers
they made massive power on my LT1 with home made torque tubes (16" X 3" collector extension tubes) but im running open exhaust so you wont need them.

They cost $490 and I welded the 02s in myself to save $65

http://www.thunderracing.com carries them cheap.

and Hawk I live in Texas USA so even if you gave me a super deal it wouldn't be worth the $$$ to ship international

LOL ......dick.....(j/k)

how do you think my car can go anyway? Its got stock gearing and is supposed to run 12.70 in the 1/4...<----(if I had some damn slicks) it will SMOKE an LS1 car without flinching...
I would think it could go 175mph since an LS1 is speed limited to 165 and since I can beat them np I think 175 is conservative estimate.

OK I have been up to 200 MPH +/- a couple MPH there I was in 5th @ 7000 sounded like a NASCAR. However it gets scary passing cars it looks like they are in reverse or worse yet the decide to pass a truck and they are going 60 MPH that will fill your pants pretty quick.

uhhhhhh I dont get it lol....

say I have 370 hp....how fast do u think I could go? I have 3.23 so my top speed wont be as good as if I had 3.42 or 3.73s becuase they give you more power to cut through the wind...Im sure I cant reach 6000 RPMS in overdrive otherwise I could go 200 mph

Try going to this site--http://users.erols.com/srweiss/index.html#jcalc
About half way down the page is the interactive calculator. Find the one
that is right for you and plug in the numbers.

Download this DOS base Car analyzer. It lets you wok with gear ratios , engine power etc. It has over a 100 different varibles if you really want to get technical and see what it takes to push your car. Just scroll down the page until you find Car test 4.5 and follow the instructions.
