Well during a day and a half of getting my butt kicked installing these things I was saying some pretty mean crap to myself. I swore I was going to get out of a f-body and into somthing more easier to work on. I did this all be myself in the craft shop here. I had bought some coated longtubes with the mufflex Y-pipe.
I had to loosen both sides of the motor mounts, jack up each side to get them in, cut-splice and reroute wires, no easy task, man was I pissed at the F-body...
But all that came to a end when I fired it up and took it for a spin.
It pulls so hard now, all the way up to 6200 where I shift. The firehawk tires have no chance. I couldnt play with it too much cause I have no exhaust on it and its loud as hell and there's a 35 MPH speed limit on post I didnt want any MP's to see me. It gave me that sick woozy feeling on acceleration. My car is a beast now!
I have to take it down to the muffler shop to have my new piping installed this week and have everything mated up. I still have to tuck a few wires away, custom fit most of my Taylor over the valve cover wires and retourque bolts. But I am tired of wrenching on it by myself for this weekend.
BTW Bruce, Greg sent me a new wiring harness.
Jeff

Then I put the 4.10s and 29.5" slicks on and ..........well........what the "He said doin the nasty" I dunno whats wrong 13.022 @ 105.15.......
Gonna borrow 26" slicks for this weekend if it dont rain.

*important lesson* This sounds like im on crack, but it took me 2.5 days to put in my headers, and it took me 7 hours at a highly relaxed screwin off pace to drop the motor out the bottom cross member and all,
if you got a buddy and a lift you can get that motor on the ground in 4 hours, put the headers on, and put it all back together in about 9
