Is the lt4 hot cam kit that thunder racing sells worth the money ?
How much hp will u see with the kit with all the major bolt ons allready installed. Also how hard would it be to install ? :?:

here are the specs on the kit:
GM LT4 Hot Cam Kit, 218 / 228, .525 / .525 112 LSA Lift #'s w/1.6 Rockers. Complete kit includes GMPP 1.6 Roller Rockers, valve springs, retainers, valve locks & shims

Also how does the hotcam compare to the following ones:
- CC502(XE218/224)
- CC305(220/230)
- CC503 (XE224/230)

I have to keep the car streetable and don't need too much of a lope
Thanks,
Alex

The hot cam is nice. I have seen, heard and drove a few hot cammed Impala SS's. This cam is not made for the heavy Impala, but for the Camaro, it would be nice. Lope is good, but not too much. It's a pain to swap cams in the Impy, so I imagine it would be worse on the 'maro. Not to sure on the other cams, except the 305. I had one, and it's cool. 114ls so it hardly lopes, its a boosted cam, and it is more for the torque, but still makes more power than the hot cam throughout the power band. I'll let the F-body guys chime in on what they think.

It's a good cam for the money. Had that cam w/ the LT4 heads and put down some decent numbers. AFR's are nice BUT they need head work ou the box because their casting is nothing to be desired. But once worked ont they'll put out killer numbers w/ a matching cam. If you aren't trying to break the bank the LT4 kit is the way to go.

Just be warned once you start the modding you won't stop.

I have the CC305 in my motor and it lopes pretty damn good although I didn't go with the CC305 114 lsa I got the CC305 112LSA wich bumps a whole lot more. I had the 114 305 in my 350 and it bumped quit good but nothing like the 112. I will say though I'm still not satisfied until the GM847 is in my motor.
