OK, don't worry and settle down! This is what I would do. Forget about the computer. Buy a crate motor. As far as the ignition, I would go with one of the MSD systems. There will be less wires to deal with going that route. You can change the fuel system back to the mechanical one but why? Just by an adjustable pressure regulator and call it good.

Ok here is what Im looking at the crate motor I want is going to be between 5 & 6g's with shipping. So I am trying to see how much it will cost me to build this LT1 and what all I would need. Plus there is nothing orginal on my car so I think it would look cool with a LT1 and be fast enough for me. Rite now the LT1 is cheaper but I dont know everything I will need yet. Thats why Im asking you gear heads. I'm just a stereo guy who wants to go faster.

Someone step up and correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't the major differences between a regular small block and an LT1 is the heads and reverse coolant flow. As far as intake and fuel supply, any should work. The ignition is run off the cam, so it will work whether carbed or injected. Might just need to change out the distributor. If you got the LT1, build that. Just my .02

@ Jazz, I know someone who might buy that LT1 from you if you want to take a different route. I found the mag that had the 3rd gen with the LT1 installed and it looked pretty ratty. You could always buy a 350 short block and put your heads on it. Then you could convert it to a carb pretty easy and it would run strong. Golen engines sells some pretty cheap short blocks. Good luck,

Don

Ok the LT1 is for sale. It is just the block and heads. it is burning oil in one cylinder and I have no idea why. It's up for 600 euro as is. You can come check it out if you want.

Is this the same one that I talked to you about a while ago? If so, how come you didn't give a brother a call?
