Morosso's. They match the stock pieces verbatim and I can put the stock ones in all day long. But as soon as I put the solid's in the holes to the block don't line up but are off just enough so where I can' t mount them. The bolt that goes through the mount holder and mount itself is no problem ......easy as pie but the 3 bolts to attach to the block. NOPE!

So my question is can those holes be slotted just to give me the necessary access or will that cause the block to shift under load? What do I do?!

Either slot em or drillem oversize

Just wanted to make sure before doing so. I was getting ready to do a hybrid. One side solid the other poly. Thanks Roy.

In my previous life I designed engines for Ford (somebody had to do it, but they paid for my first Porsche). Anyway, we used a dynamic tolerance of 19mm and a static tolerance of 10mm. Since GM is no preciser than Ford, this means that you have a "mismatch" allowance of 10mm. Slot the holes, bolt them up and have a beer.
Ps: I hope your "solid" mounts are just "stiffer" mounts, cause real solid mounts will have you welding up your chassis every other weekend.

Thanks. Yes they are real solid mounts. You know I've heard of people saying they'll loosen every other bolt on the car but that's only if you've got a wicked cam w/ no street manners. Oops....I do.
LOL, seriously though plenty run w/ no problems and I don't drive it daily anyway so I'm not too concerned and I've got lock tite on every damn bolt on that car. Poly's weren't cutting it and causing my y-pipe to slam up under my azz pullin timing along the way. Worse case I'll just use the side that flex's w/ a solid and the side poly.

Ever thought about an adjustable engine strap?

No but motor plates have come to mind but then I'd have relocate my alt back up to the top of the engine. YUCK!

Motor plates are hardcore, but a limiting strap (i.e. piece of chain or length of cable) work well.

How about duct tape?

Well I finally got that beyotch last night. Took nearly 3 yrs for one side. All of 10 mins to remove but reinstalling? Fugedaboutit. Doesn't help when you the only one there going front to back underneathe the car w/ the jackstand 10 million times to get it to align. Hope it's worth it. Daddy I may be holding on to the poly's.

So what's the scoop on them after haven driven some miles with those solids on there ????

No miles on them yet. Actually I've only got the driver side in. Doesn't flex at all even w/ the jack underneath the car so I'm sticking to just that one for now. I've been in JC's car w/ the solid's and his CC306 and it's pretty much tame by my standards. It's rough for others but it's fine for me. I won't know for another 2 mos it seems if I don't get my exhaust over here from the states.

If it still flexes w/ just one solid and 1 poly I'll through the other side in.

Got serious plans on coming down for Bitburg by the end of this month so we could arrange to meet or something, i'll be certain about going to Bitburg or not by the end of this week.

I'm btw starting to dismantle my LT1 this week After that it's build up time.
