Was showing a co-worker the Toy since he never saw it. Anyways the car has been having a problem catching the idle which was weird and felt down on a cylinder at least a little bit from hesitation etc.

Well I popped the hood and to my surprise I've got a busted O-ring to the number 8 injector! It's spraying real fine mist in the bay and this explains the loss in power. At 1st I thought is wasn't seated and it very well be the case but I just want to make sure 1st.

So much for going to Spang as planned today. Sorry Jazzy. :(

So does anyone have spare O-ring injector laying around? Thanks!

Well I still have a fuel leak from the new O-rings! I seat the injector on the fuel rail and then put the rail on. The minute I crank the car 2 injectors fall to the bosses on the intake and the leak begins.

I don't get it. I lubed the )-rings a little to get them in but they are in there firm but still manage to drop. Put another set in un-lubed and it still drops.

ARHHHHHHHHHG! :x

I am no expert on the way the fuel works but could a blocked line maybe make the injector shot out harder than its supposed to which could push the injector out? I dont know if that is even possible but hey you never know. What is your fuel pressure? Could that be to high?

Not sure about the LT1s but the Fords have a clip that secures the injectors to the rails.

Also, on the Fords you have a small "O" ring that is not rubber like...more like a ceramic seal that some times it will crack creating what you describe above.

Check your pressure regulator.

On the LT1 the fuel rail when bolted down holds the injector in place. Silas what are you running for a maniflod. Pict?

Roy I am using the LT1 manifold. The real problem is that I found out the at the LS1 injectors aren't meant for LT1 rails. They can fit but it's not recommended thus the reason they fall. Even though they are the same length it's in the O-ring size or something. Go figure.

I'll have a set of used 36's for sale come May. Just a heads up. I need a pair of used 22's if anyone has a set laying around. :D
