Does anyone know a good brand of long-tube headers for an LT1, I was looking at Pacesetter... They have a y-pipe for them which make the install easier, but I can't seem to find any reveiws or power numbers.

Thanks,

Josh

They are a good header for the price. Try http://www.Tbyrnemotorsports.com as I believe he sells them.

i love my pacesetters! though i only got mids (though people clame pacesetter dose not make them for the 93 LT1) but when i put them on o could diff. notice a diff. in power! and they where prity easy to install, would have been even easer if my motor mounts were not 14 years old (my motor is sitting about 1.5in lower then it should) but i have also done a few pacesetter LT installs and they where easer then other brands i have done installs with.

one tip on the install, tie a string around the wrench and around your wrist make for a shorter less frustrating day!

Pace setters are good as long as their coated. I might be selling my FLP's shortly as I'm in need of some Kooks.

Do the FLP's bolt onto the stock cats? I can't find any good info on them because they went out of business. I'd prefer LT's but I would consider the shorties if you offered them cheap enough.

Did you tune your PCM? A tuning would really take advantage of them. Correct me if I'm wrong but doesn't the tuner require a VIN so that it can only be used with that vehicle? I will call Hypertech to confirm that...

Thanks,

Josh

FLP's are LT headers and they come w/ V-band clamps to change from Cats to ORP's. I'm running a stand alone ECU but you don't need a tune for a header change. Only thing you'll see switching to headers is an increase in low end torque as well as better breathing on the top end.

I don't run any emissions hookups so if you are planning to keep that there isn't a problem w/ these headers as they have connections on the headers.
