Zaino's no wax ... also, what all did you do for 5 1/2 hours? You're supposed to let the Z2 or Z5 layers dry for a while before you put additional Z2 por Z5 on ... !? And it usually took me an hour for one layer (without a roof to do, of course, but ...)

Well I started with washing the car with Dawn, then I clayed my car with Z18. Then I washed it again with Dawn to remove the clay residue. I started with Z1 and then put Z5 over it, (one coat for now) and then Z2 over the Z5. Then I let it dry for an hour and buffed it off with a 100% cotton towel. (feildcrest) That was the directions I got from the Zaino Bros web site, plus when I got the Zaino, it had "enhanced version of Zaino application tips" with it. Im sold for life!!

OK, with two washes and a Clay in between, I understand the 5+ hours ... anyway, the guys over at f-body.com usually advised to let some time pass between 5 and 2 ... I put them on a day at a time ... with z6 in between ...

Yup, pretty hot stuff ... almost got rid of the scratches I have on my trunk to a point where you need to know where and how to look ... well - with us showing off at the 16th (you coming?) we might get a couple of other people from FBE hooked ... may want to do a group purchase at some point ... (I still have quite a bit left, but could probably use another bottle or two of Z2, once I got most of the problems solved with the Z5 layers) - plus at some point probably another Z6 ...

Well if you concider the time it took me from start to finish (with Z5 first) was about 30 minutes, I guess it had some time to dry before I started with the Z2. Yea, Ill be there at the show!! I want to get a couple more coats on (Z5 & Z2) before the show. See ya there!

Quote: how much is the zaino?
The different types come from some $8 to $17 ... for a complete starter pack, expect some $50-$60 ... will last for quite some time, though. The bottles will usually do 8 car coatings ...

I'm thinking about going down the Zaino route myself. The trouble is, what do I do with the bottles of Colour Magic, Halfords Showroom Polish, Extreme Polish, Elite Carnauba Polish, AutoGlym and Wonder Wax 2 stage polish, representing the endless quest for a better shine? There's only so much wax I can use!
Also, did anyone out there go to Billing Summer Nationals in the UK last year (it slashed down). There was a guy there who was marketing a home-brewed two stage treatment which came as a spray. The first took off the old wax and the second bottle was supposed to keep adding lustre to the paint ad infinitum and could be used whether the car was wet or dry. The panel he had there was off a Ford Orion and the shine was pretty impressive. I didn't buy at the time and couldn't find it afterwards. Ring any bells? I forgot the name!Perhaps i should just buy the Zaino as everyone says it's the best.

LUSIFER it's called Dri & wash. That's all I use.
http://www.dwginternational.com I can get it at a decent price since my pops picks it up in his area. Got 2 bottles at home now. RT1 has a bottle but I don't know if he started using it yet.
It's perfect for the carshow touchup and everything else.
