Chevy High Performance fixed up a '92 RS (5.0 TBI and th700) and added some parts in the Feb '04 issue. They added a STB, torque arm, adjustable panhard bar, Tokico shocks and springs. All but the shocks are made by Edelbrock and the springs are actually Eibachs with Edelbrocks name on them. The car was lowered about 1 1/2" and they fit 4 17x9.5 " with 5.5" backspacing wheels with 275/40s BFG KDW tires on all four corners. They just had to roll the front fender lip a bit. The braking (60-0 mph) improved from 173 to 144 feet; 600-foot slalom (mph) went from 58.4 to 64.7 (like the '03 Cobra) and on the 200-ft skidpad (lateral g) went from a .74 to .80. They have yet to add SFCs. Remember, this is a TBI, not the TPI motor and without SFCs.
There is still more that could be done to help stiffen up the car as well that has yet to be done. Just something to think about...

Did they say anything about the ride quality.
Cornering power is good, but if the ride is to harsh it isn't a joy to drive around anymore.

They said that the ride isn't bad. You feel more, but it isn't too rough

I only wish my car handled like a gokart. I love that feeling. Every time I get in my car after 'karting, it feels like the Titanic.

I had a 1991 RS. It was stock since I didn't know how or what to fix. ANyways, on a road trip from South Georgia to Little Rock, I thought I was going to die. Alabama almost ripped my arm off.

After 12 hours of driving, I got out and felt as if I really pissed someone off. Kidneys hurt, knees sore, head pounding, and my left shoulder was almost dislocated!

Afer, that I bought a 1991 Z28. I redid pretty much all the suspension in that one and it rides pretty good. I just keep the KYB AGX shocks set on 8.

the most confortable, but least efficient in cornering suspension was in the 3rd gen Camaro Berlinetta model, later passed on to the Camaro LT - Luxury Touring. A have a 87 LT and when it rolls over a bump on the road it feels like driving a Cadillac...very comfortable for a "sports" car. It's especially good to have this suspension on Polish roads  , believe me
