Hi,
Somebody know if on a 1991 z28 5.0L TPI it's a short or long style water pump?
I'd like to buy an edelbrok water pump but I don't know which to buy for my car?
I think I have a long style.
If someboy can help me,
Thank you very much

Thanks for website,
I wrote to summit racing, they write me this :
The difference between the long or short water pump is very easy to determine. Simply check to see if you can fit your fingers between the waterpump and the timing chain cover. If you can, you have a long waterpump, if the clearance is too tight to fit your fingers in there, you have a short waterpump
That's why I thing I have a long style water pump,
Thanks again

It is a long style. Short pumps were used alot in the 60s and 70s. Here is something you need to know. If your car has a serpentine belt system then you will need to get a water pump specific to that. Serpentine belt systems spin the water pump in the opposite direction as a regular V-belt system. I am pretty sure yours is the serpentine system.

EDL-8881 should be the right part number from Summit Racing for your water pump. Long style that fits 87-95 year 305 engines. It rotates counter clockwise for the serpentine system.
