I´ve got another question.
Car´s in winter sleep and i fix some minor glitches.
One of is the driver door.
The door drops some inches if it is opened and it looks like the door-suspension is worn out.
I tried to get the door off to change the faulty parts (thanks to Chilton) but i´m really fu**ed that all the electronic stuff in the door has to be deconnected to get the door off.
Two questions:
- Do you think there is a easier way to change the parts ?
- Any tips how to get the "hold the door open" spring off or better: How to get that think back on without the spring removal tool mentioned by Chilton´s ?
Thanks, Tom
P.S.: New pics will come soon...

Never did a third gen door, But I always keave the door fully open, sometimes I have to remove the front fender to get at all the door hinge bolts . I support the dorr from underneath , Remove the bolts and then remove the door with the help of an assistant.

It took a while but it worked.
The replacement-pin comes with a small bushing, that can be replaced if the door is removed.
I also changed the break pads and was almost screaming about the allen screws at the breaks. Not metric.... Aaaaah...
How often do you guys replace your oil and ignition wiring / sparkplugs ?
I only drive about 5000 miles a year (summer / good weather car) and did it three years ago, but it feels like the engine is idling a little bit out of the round.

For the amount of miles you drive yearly. Once year on the oil. Plugs are cheap to buy than test. Ignition wires you can test with a ohmmeter. your distributor and rotor are probably the culprit most likely.

The door sagging is a common problem with the f-body. The doors are very long and play havoc on the bushings. Get used to it, it will never go away! I know, I have had 3 f-body's and they all had the same problem.
