Hey guys, I am in a rutt, I tried to swap out my headers and I have never done this before, but I am not able to get the driver side off and I do not know what to do. Can anyone possibly lend a hand, I could pay, the thing that sucks is the car is not drivable and I am looking to move in a month so I have to have it done by then. Any advice:(

What year and what is holding you up?

WD-40 or a stronger "break free" is your friend

Driverside is rough on third gens , You will end up probably jacking up the engine and such to getthat header in. Also your brake line and spark cables are susceptable to burning and heat soak. Header wrap and heat shielding will be your friend.

It's a 86 and the steering column is hanging me up. I tried to squeeze it through the top but the column got in my way, underneath it was the cross member and oil pan. I might be able to get it through the top but I have never disconnected the steering column and don't really know how. I have never jacked up the motor and wouldn't know where to start but I am up for ideas.

It's in Landstuhl, right around the corner from LRMC. About 5 KM from Bann.

Alright guys, it took some fighting but I finally got the right side off. Discovered I need to replace my valve cover gaskets but that will have to wait till I get to my new place, then I'll redo the valve covers and get some new shiny edlebrock covers from summit, those will dress the motor up real nice. Back to the subject at hand though, I need to replace the left side today but I don't think that will be as difficult but I'll update you as the day winds on. Alright you guys, wish me luck.

Finally done, I will take it too complete the rest of the exhaust in a couple of weeks. I'm going to put new tires on as well and I am actually thinking about selling and moving to another project but if that is the case, I will let you know in the near future. Stay cool fellas.
