I came across this ride: 78 T/A (waiting for the VIN to check the actual year), with a couple mods ...
403cui Olds motor (can 185hp be right?), B&M Shifter, 235/275 wheels, ~100k miles ... asking about $2200 ... can probably get the price down some ... (paint not too good at some places [who cares? It's gettin' a new paint job anyway!], seats in not too good a shape, some of the interior plastic cracked) Maybe get it in the area of $1800 or so ...
Comments?

Garry...wanna be THE BANDIT, huh? 185hp sound really weak out of a 403. The prize is way too high if it's in the shape you said it's in. Most Germans are trying to get rid of their gas gusslers, so you should be able to pick one up way cheaper if you look through Chrom&Flammen and other mags with ads. I've seen really nice Camaros and 'Birds that were fixed up already for less than DM4000. One was even on the cover of C&F a few years back and I saw it for DM4000-6000 in an ad one time. Offer him the 2200 in marks and see what he says.

185 hp is right they werent that strong i used to have a 77 with a 400 and it was right around 200 but they have an ass load of torque. Pontiac is not cheap to rebuild and parts are getting more and more scarce. And you cant just throw a chevy engine in it with out changing the tranny too. Different bell housing bolt pattern just thought you might be interested in the info.
