Hello,

I desperatly need to see a dyno sheet from a stock (or nearly) 3.4 V6 car. I am working on a custom fuel injection project and I need to see the torque curve to extrapolate the volumetric efficiency of the engine.

Any info would be appreciated!

Thanks

Nathan Acree

Since we don't really have dynos here, check http://www.camaroz28.com or http://www.fbody.com

In fact they don't even do the horse power reading correctly!

... which is kind'a funny, as the HP value is usually derived from the torque IIRC ...

I believe the formula is

HP/5252xRPM = Torque
and the formula for horsepoweris
torque x 5252/rpm= horse power

I may be wrong but I think this is it.

your math is spot on as usual Roy.

But really HP is not measurable, its a number.

the only thing that does get measured is Torque, and HP is just extrapolated from there.

Thanks for the info guys!

I checked fbody.com and such before I posted here. I simply could not find anyone who had their 3.4 on the dyno.

Anyway, thanks to the person who posted this link

http://www.gm.com/automotive/gmpowertra ... torque.htm

I believe the curve is from an aluminum head 3.4 from a Pontiac Grand Am or a derivative, and is slightly different, but close enough for what I need.

Anyway,

Thanks!
