Hi,

I picked up a set of new spark plugs for my 'Vert while on leave. The guy at Autozone (I think) looked it up and the list said GM called for Iridium plugs. The OEM ones he sold me had something on the that they had a 100k mile waranty on them. Seems to me pretty much - the platinum ones for my MR2 are supposed to be changed every 60k miles ... does GM use similar ones as original equipement? I have not pulled them yet, so I don't really know what condition they arae in ...

My plugs were not Iridium but Platinum plugs. They're supposed to last 100000mls (160000km). I (or better: Jason  ) changed 7 of them at 48000km, they looked very good. #8 was changed at 66000km, still looked very good and could have survived another 30000-40000km without a problem I guess.

Ben

Guess I'll try to pull one or two and take a look .. what I've been wondering about is the degrading in 1/4mi performance ... can't complain about the fuel economy, that has been pretty much constant ... oh well ...
