That link should go to a page where you can find a bit more about me.
v6's can run 12's.
I am doing it.
I just wandered over and came across someone mentioning that v6's probably can't see 12's
Here is proof, you are wrong!
Enough of that crap, how is everyone today?

Welcome ...
Btw, wouldn't a V8 have been cheaper than all your mods? Good work, though ...

I have a 72 chevelle so I'm fine with a v8.
Mom's got a c5 (00 drop top) so I know ls1's
Which do you remember more, 12 secondv8 or 12secondv6???
Which is worse to lose to?

Havent really thought about losing to either, but I guess your right, the V6 would stand out.
What kind of jets you running, I'm assuming 150hp? Sure is a good looking ride, and it looks like you guys have a blast when you get togethor.
Take it easy

The world doesn't stop revolving at the end of aquarter mile. It just starts to get moving. Quarter mile is fine if your into that but lets see what its got to boogie down the autobahn for about five to 15 miles miles with out lifting. That is the true test of an engine holding together.

That makes me curious. What do the v6's top out at? Just curious, I know my speedo isn't high enough.

I used to have a V6 camaro 3.4l and I was really into the car as well... I frequented alot of the sites and I did see alot of V6's in the 12's.... I think alot of them were fakes, but there are a few that are definately that fast, but at that much spray for how long will they remain in 1 piece?

120 dry shot
I have a wet kit conversion sitting at home.
Top speed? Dunno, my speedo goes to 125 and I've buried it many times. We have guessed that I've hit 145 before racing a mid to high 12 sec ls1 at 106-108 (auto, 373's, 2800 stall).
It's lots of fun.
From what I know I hold the mph record for 4th gen v6 f bodies stock block
Rousch racing holds the et record at 12.800 (their mph was 104.85)
It's cool to have v8 power at the touch of a button.
For top speed mom;s vette comes out.
And the chevelle is just obnocious!!!! (sp?)

One that has 3.42 gears an an auto would top out at 176 mph without a governor and with a power adder.

That must be one hella power adder. The Vortech LT1 topped out at 177mph with 6psi, and a comparably setup LS1 should reach 654mph (J/K guys!, okay I'll stop but its just so much fun)
Later
Rob

BTW, FYI there are some marketing out there for our 3.8ltr II series... you have to look for it to find them.
Here is one of them:

It could do it with a decent shot of NOS When I hit my Governor I am still climbing pretty quick. My old 95 3.4 did 135 and it was completely stock no governor got to love it. So a 3.8 ought to do a lot better with 1/4 more horsepower.

Hey folks Running juice and hitting revlimiters or speed limieters is not pretty. The spare parts tend to collect on the road side. As for that much NOS being shot into a V6 , Well go ahead and kiss it good by. You are talking over 3mins at wide open throttle to get at 170 mph.
Sorry I donot see that one happening.

So you got 3.42 with a A4 from the factory? Well you will need a little more than 75hp shot of happy gas to be a match for the Hawk. If you spray 200hp you might hang. Sounds like fun for me. I am in Germany so you do not have to worry.
