Found a web site that gave the lowdown on cams for the 3.4L. The site is http://www.camarosource.ca But here is the good stuff:

Manufact. Duration Lift
Int Exh Int Exh
-----------------------------------
GM 12363220 204 216 427 454
GM 12353919 204 214 420 442
GM 14031378 196 203 394 410
Crane 254112 198 204 401 403
Crane 254122 204 214 423 423
Crane 253901 204 216 427 454
Crane 253941 216 228 454 480

BTW... the Crane 112 & 122 I found at Jeg's for $159.

Hmmmmmm, I don't know that much about duration and lift. I figure that the more d&l, the stronger top end. So I just need to decide if I want the power low & mid, or mid & high. I am not really sure which one to get. What are your suggestions, you've been there and done that... Maybe non at all. I'll just get one of each and see what I like.:)

Looks like Camarosource found us also. Cool.

Isn't fire bad? Well anyway, after doing some looking around, went with the Compcam. Summit just has to special order it from Comp. Getting the K kit (cam, lifters, valve springs, retainers, locks and timing set) with the rocker arms and the pushrods also. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction Hawk. I have heard more good things about Comp than I have Crane. Should have it in about 3 weeks, tops. Thanks again.

Oh, so I am here to take care of all the light work. :) I wouldn't want you to waste all that fuel anyway. I mean you would have like 6-7 cars on him, at least.

RT1,
did you buy the 260H and the kit? (How much $$$?)
Do you have it installed already? (What gains did you "feel"?)
Lots of questions :)

@Bruce
I´m searching for a cam (or a cheap V8 ;)), too, but I think the 260H is too hot.
I still have to pass emission testing and too much lope at idle is not good for inspections by the TÃœV or even the cops :( (even our redneck cops know how a hot cam sounds...)
Any ideas?

Chris, I haven't received the cam yet. It seems that Summit doesn't keep that kind of parts laying around. (Not too many people want to mod a 3.4L) They special ordered it from Comp, and I should have it by the end of the month. Total was about $430, for the cam kit, and the rocker arms and the pushrods. I'll let you know how it turns out when I get it all put in the car.

Rob
