Guys
Question relating to my '99 Z28 stock radio and speaker system.

What is the wattage and Ohms of the system.

ONe of the speakers in the panel behind the front seats has stopped working and I want to replace it. What is the wattage and Ohm rating please???

Can you give me any recommenations for upgrades???

My '96 had 10 ohm speakers in the front doors. Just upgrading them to Kenwoods at 4 ohms (just about every speaker in the auto world is 4 ohms) made a huge difference in sound output and quality. I can actually hear my music when driving at over 100 mph now. I didn't change anything else. Just upgrading your factory speakers will be an improvement, especially the front ones. I beleive that the size in the doors are 6 3/4". Check out http://www.crutchfield.com to compare specs of components.

First you need to fond out why it's not working. If it was blown it will still try to play. Check your wiring or connection to the head unit.

Not had chance to have a good look yet.

If it is the speaker - I still have a little warranty. I think I'll get GM to replace it and plan a FULL stereo upgrade in the near future.

I'll come back for more advice soon.
