Does anyone know of a good shop around Spangdahlem that's good at installing new head units? I bought one for the TA the other day and I need to know of any harness's or anything else that I may need in order for this thing to work right (ie: is there something needed so that the controls on the steering wheel continue to work, is there something else needed so that the antenna will continue to go up and down, will there be any alarm issues or anything else?). I don't know jack about electronics or I'd just do it myself.

With a harness the radio is easy and antenae... with the steering wheel controls, i never played with it.... but the harness is easy 4 hour job... wire the harness to the new radio then plug it in. If you have Bose /monsoon system, you will have to bridge a hot wire to run the Bose Speakers. you will have to track down the steering control wires to splice them or have your system double wire with both radios plugged up and relocate the factory in the trunk or something...

wow, that was like reading german....lol. i probably won't worry about keeping the steering wheel controls. i still have the factory side speakers and door speakers, but I already have a sub and amp mounted in the rear. I don't understand electronics or wires at all man.

OK. I went to ls1tech and read up on a few threads and ordered the harness, something for the antenna and something else...I've forgot what it was.

If I don't forget, I'll give you a call on Friday. What shift do you work? I'm working nights.

It's all good, apparently I ordered the wrong kit for it anyways. So, I gotta wait till I get the right one in to do the swap.
