I went to McDonald's in Landstuhl with my wife tonight. We were in the neighborhood, so decided to dine in. Snazzy huh?? :p
Anyway, on the way out, we pulled up to the light right behind the Opel. If you are not familiar with these cars, they are pretty quick for 4 bangers.. So, the light turns green, and he attempts to leave me. Well, Kata(my wife) has a stupid cup of cappuccino, so I have to start off a little slow. Well, at the on ramp, he merged on to the 'bahn, and almost rear-ended some semi in the process.
He gets over, and there is a car beside me, so I let him pass, and get behind him. Meanwhile, the GSI is speeding up in the fast lane. After I get around the car I'm behind, I drop it into 4th, and start the catch up process. He's a good 200 meters ahead of me already, so it's not quick. I am gaining hard though, and as soon as I get next to him, I flash my lights. I think he was depressed, 'cause he made no attempt to motion to me or anything.. It was an easy kill, but still fun as hell!!

You all know how clean my car is, except for one day two years ago. We all know that camaro cup holders suck well I got into a race with a mustang went to fast around a corner and my full cappucino slamed the passenger window. The rest of this story is history. It took about 6 hours of scrubbing to clean it. So jack I praise you for your patience maybe you should throw some my way. This has happend to me on several occasions with Pepsi, coffee, etc.
Good kill!!

Come on, an Astra GSi is a mid seven second car, probably slower and as a very short term owner of an Astra GTE 16v (what a mistake), I can testify as to how truly bad these cars are. They scrabble their front wheels like rabbits trying to burrow into rock and jump all over the road like a Spacehopper. But hey, a kill's a kill. Reminds me of my '87 Z28 with it's weedy 170bhp. A Golf 16v tried to take it out (in theory they're pretty even)but I left him choking in a screen of blue tyre smoke. Torque is where it's at and he was grinning wider than I was!

Tell me about it. I do try to slap them into place if only in the vain hope that they will see the light and actually want a Camaro bad enough to get out of their hyperhatches and into something decent. In fairness, the ones I do get to speak to are fairly awestruck and usually complimentary but even when you tell them about the cheap insurance, they still bark on about what it does to the gallon! I always say "If I cared, would I have one?". I find the most irritating part on our crowded UK roads is idiots who don't check their mirrors when you actually get a clean run. An LS1 under heavy braking can be pretty scary.

It is fun but it's an inevitability. At least with proper cars, they concede they've been beaten. Four bangers remain all over you like damn tse-tse flies, buzing around the tail lights, darting here and there and just being damned annoying before doing a 100mph "fly-by" as though the race wasn't already over. Then you're obliged to do the combine harvester where you just run up behind them at breakneck speed and shovel them aside. It gets a bit irritating though as they still come back!

Damn, I guess that happens everywhere! I hate that. They are just so annoying, even after getting their ass(es) handed to them!!!
