I have the go ahead from the wife, I have credit card in hand...:)

GMPP 847 Cam hyd. roller

234/242 575I 595E 112LCA w/1.6

I have been kicking this sucker around for some time, I want to make big power. Of course I will have the hogged out heads/intake, dynotune and Hooker LT's ect. I wont put all of this together till I get back to the states (1yr). I am just buying things piece by piece and by the time I get back stateside, have it all thrown together. I want 430+RWHP. This should do it (and scatter my rear). And maybe a small shot of the N2O for the tough times...

Know of any GOOD head porters in Germany?

Do you think you will have enough rpm range to operate that cam in. Don't quote me but this is from experience , that thing might be a dog until you cross over that 4000 rpm mark. What rear gears are you running now?
Also I believe the valves will probably touch the pistons with that much lift. If they don't it will be real close and gets closer as your timing chain stretches and a guarantee if the chain breaks.

As for head porting it will be cheaper to send your heads back to the states for porting than to have it done over here.

I have done a bit of research. On the LT1, I can go a little over .600 valve lift before it will touch. In will go a x-treme duty timing chain set. I have 4.10s so I am seldom under 3500 rpm anyways. I figure I will shift it at 6700.

Jeff- You might want to throw a blower on that cam so it's not a dog down low. If I were you I'd throw the new cam in my car and then start complaining about it. Tell her you need a blower to get the cam at 100% operation. :) This will give you some big numbers on the RWHP chart. :) just an idea this is somthing I would do.
