JR glad you got it figured out. I am starting to think you don't want to race me until again until you get those gears installed Just giving you a hard time. Best of luck this weekend and I am still game for a friendly race when you are done working on your car, gears or not! Peace

Krazy I was ready any time for you... to bad the car wasn't! I really wanted to see how much of a difference they made.. but oh well now I have the gears in so now I can see how much I gained with the combo! Oh and by the way I was ably to LITE them up on a slighty wet road at only about 1/2 pedal...... hopefull;y that wont be to much of a problem for my take-offs!

Sounds like you got quite the combo going. I will just have to hope that the gears mess up your launch when we race:) I got my new tires put on Saturday. Not like they are a performance gain, but I do feel a lot safe going fast now. Hopefully we can get together for some friendly runs before this Bitburg thing. Peace

I just got mine running again, only now I was going from Wurzberg to Weisbaden when I had a big power loss. I was only running about 90. Then the car started missing real bad. I don't know the opti-spark deal but the wire that runs from what I think is the condensor to somewhere behind the water pump is making any body's 4th of July firework display look like child's play. I'm getting a blue arc you could weld with. Any suggestions?

I would have to suggest you replace that wire, I believe you are talking about the coil wire. Do it ASAP!!!

Ok, I got the wire fixed. It had a couple of spots in the wire that didn't look too good. The next thing is plugs and wires. Can anybody give me a quick and easy on this. It looks like it is going to be a pain in the a**! And AFFES wants to charge me $215 to do this. So, I won't be going there.

It's not all that bad!!! Trust me I have done them about 15 times now! Pass side isn't so hard... there is no need to take off the pwr steering pump.. just squeeze thje boots through one at a time through the 2 power steering hoses... you'll see what I mean after you start. Now if you have stock plugs and wires... the #7 wire will give you some problems as it runs under a metal sheeth that is connected to the block..... it's a real PITA the only way I changed that one was by taking the driver side header off... this is also a good time to install after market headers.... but don't be discouraged it isn't as bad as it looks... good luck!
