Lets see if there are any guru's out there for this one! My car won't move when put into over drive or the D3 posisition. But it will move if pout into the D2 or D1 posisition. I think it might have somthing to do with my valve body... does anyone else have any suggestions. I am throwing no codes... but whenever I come around a cornor to slow in D3 (after I get it moving) the car will not move anymore (like the tranny goes out) and my ABS IN-OP light will come on!! What a pain in the a$$.... if anyone has any suggestions I would much so appreciate them! Thanks!!!

Let's see ... maybe the torque converter is going out?
Possibly not enough fluid in it??
Speed sensor?
Shift linkage?? PRNDL ??

I don't have a great deal of experience with autos dude...and I can't drag race either I suck btw.

Hope that was some food for thought tho.

You have the 4L60E transmission in your car, right. Well the good old A.F. has sent me to the advanced school for those transmission. I will talk to a bud of mine and get the scan tool from him and will figure out what is up with the damn thing. I do know that if there is a major problem with the tranny it will default to 2nd gear. I don't think that you have a major problem. You probably lost a connection some wheres since it is a fully electronic tranny, you know all that electronic shifting crap.
Later dude

You can rest easy. It isn't your torque converter. If in fact the tranny is acting like you said. A torque converter will give off a winey noise. You have a PRNDL switch that sends a signal down to the soleniods in the valve body that tells the tranny what gear you are in. There might be a problem in that area.

I agree with hotrod I when you changed your gears your speed sensor in the ABS is conflicting with your tranny you can reset the tranny by disconnecting the battery. Just my .02 cents.
