I found a slightly used FIPK for $225 including shipping, and a de-screened MAF from a 2000 T/A for $53 with shipping on eBay. Both arrived last week while I was working out of town, so I put them on last night. The FIPK was really easy, I spent most of the time looking for a washer in my nuts and bolts jar to replace one that was missing. I checked out the P/N's on the MAF and since they were different I decided to use the de-screened MAF housing with the stock MAF from my '02 Z-28. That swap took about 15 minutes; I left the screened end in the stock air box bellows which actually saved me time over pulling it apart. The time for doing both the FIPK and MAF was probably 45 minutes. I started at 10:30 and finished by midnight, including road testing, tool clean-up and boxing up the stock air box. Best of all, I can swap back to the stock air box and screened MAF in about 30 minutes if I have to take the car in for engine-related work. Too soon to claim any performance increase, but the engine really growls now when I get on it. Good, easy mod, best part is keeping all the stock stuff intact.

Did I mention the SFC's and STB are on the way?

I know what a bitch shipping is for y'all, but there's a new guy in the Memphis area making powder-coated double diamond SFC's and powder-coated STB's just like the ones from SLP for about half the price. Brian at Spectacle Solutions did me a package deal on SFC's and STB's for $205 with shipping to Texas. Regular price on the SFC's is $150 with your choice of black, white, or silver powdercoat. Other colors are slightly extra. His web site is http://www.spectaclesolutions.com and phone is (910) 301-6252. Mine should ship this week, so I will let you know how I like them. Best part is when my wife sees the bill I can tell her I got new glasses or something! :-)
