I just put new Baer rotors and Hawk HPS pads on, got about 500 miles and now there squealing like a pig every time I brake slowly. Should I try rebeding the pads or is it a lost cause? Nothing worse than a $32,000 car and having it squeal every time you stop, it really takes away from the kewl points.. Any suggestions?

Copper grease on the back of the pads and a smear on the contact points either end.

That won't work for Val's type of driving. The stuff will melt and geton the pad or rotor.

There is some liquid stuff available that I've used for that very symtom. I first used it at a Mazda/GM dealership. It was prescribed by Mazda due to customer complaints on their new Mazdas brakes squealing.. It's a metallic looking liquid that soaks into the pads and does a good job of anti-squeal. I can try and hunt some down for you if you like.

Chickenkiller,
Thanks for the offer, I'm going to take it apart this week when I put my new Bilsteins in. If I can't get it to stop then, I'll take you up on that offer.
Thanks Val
