I have a 1991 Chevy Lumina, 3.1 and here is my problem...the car runs and then when I shut if down it sometimes won't start again for several hours... then after you leave the car awhile it will start again... Any suggestions on what is wrong with it...but it only won't start when the engine is hot...

I had a similar problem once with a cavalier wagon (4cyl). After changing out more things than I would like to admit it finally came down to an electronic piece in the distributor (hot=no worky, cold=ok). This is probably not your problem, but if you can get a garage with the diagnostic equipment you can take it to them hot (keep it running) and check the system then turn it off (and hopefully it won't start) and then check again.
