Okay, hears the situation. Ever since I put my S/C on, my SES light has been on putting me in limp mode. I thought my engine was pinging so I bypassed my knock sensor to see if it would solve the performance problem. No luck but I seemed to have felt a little pick up in performance. I returned my knock sensor the way it was and I'm back where I started.
Now, after doing nothing at all to the car, my engine feel like it is running on 4 or 5 cylinders because it is missing so bad. It idles normal but when I press the gas it misses bad. Since this problem, if I disconnect and reconnect the battery, this problem will go away for about three minuites or so and then it will start acting up again. I can barley spin the tires in first gear. I checked my plugs and wires and nothing was fouled out and the wires were still in good shape. From this point on, I am clueless on what to try next. All I can think of is that I still have my stock knock module and I have not had my cpu reprogramed ever.
I'm thinking the SES light could be fixed by reprogramming the cpu and because I waaited so long to do this that my computer is going haywire.
Please help!!!!!

Hmmmm. What year is your car? Check to make sure you have no intake leaks after the MAF, that will cause it to run like you state.Maybe you need a new MAP sensor with that huffer?
Now where are you located again? I have a reprogramed PCM by Ed Wright for a Hot Cam, shorties, 4.10's 52mm TB ect. What cam do you have? We can try throwing my PCM in yours and seeing what will happen. I also have a LT4 KM in it also.

The MAP sensor, I never thought of that. Its just that everyone I speak to with a Powerdyne never mentions that they changed out any sensors. But all of them did have reprogrammed CPU's. This is starting to make sense that I should consider getting this done. How can I check to see if it is the MAP sensor?
I am in Bitburg so it would be tough to get together and try swapping out CPU's but if you are ever in the area give me a buzz cause I am all for any kind of help. My car is resting in the parking spot and I dont think I should drive it much with it acting up.

haven't done a compression check yet. Never thought to do that. I just sent off the PCM to get it programmed in the states. Hopefully it will be back in time for the races.
I dont plan on going to the OPel dealership cause JR's right, THEY SUCK!!. Hopefully this reprogramming will getr rid of the Engine light.
I did in fact find the number seven plug wire burnt almost in half. This was after I sent off the PCM so I didn;t get to start it up to see if it stops missing. I hope so.

Don't know how much this will help, but I had a similar prob with mine. I had 2 wires on the passenger side burn out on the headers and the car would shudder violently especially in O/D. I eventually had to run the wires over the valve cover. I have Hypertech power tuning, I think that it screwed up my computer. Through all the probs I never once had a "service eng soon" light.
