Kinda bittersweet. I sold my notchback today (still hurts), but now I can have my block machined and the rotating assembly put in it.
Nothing special, just new pistons/rings, and crank/cam bearings. Probably more aggressive cam/springs, and a dyno tune.
I figure that should allow me to drive the 1hour to the track, run some mid 11's and drive home for some Saturday night cruizing.
Now I just have to stick to my plan.

That is the million dollar question. Right now I'm thinking about just getting pistions and reusing everything else to keep costs down. So it looks like a 355. The CC305 does seem to be the most popular cam, but since I have the HOTCAM there really isnt enough(if any) differance to justify the swap.
I'm thinking a custom N2O grind. This is gonna be a weekend/drag car. So It will probably be a relatively aggressive cam.
Still doing my homework, and I'm not committing to a path until about November, so plenty of time to play around with combinations

I have a choice. TNT F1 and a NX wet kit.
I'll probably stick with the TNT, only problem is I have to do some surgery to the thermostat housing, because with the 52mm Tbody and the TNT plate there is some interferance. Really well thought out kit though.

Are they wet?
I have heard good thing about TNT kits. NX seems to be pretty popular also.

Both kits are wet, but the problem with the NX is the nozzle placement. There really isnt a good way to secure it. I just keep seeing the nozzle come out and spray N20 and gasoline all over the FLP's. Not cool.
The TNT uses 2 nozzles (left and right) and its in a machined plate (very secure).
Here are the 2 systems

plus I have heaters for both, and NX bottle opener. Only thing I use extra is the MSD window instead of the Mallory. That and the MSD DIS 6 hooked to the N20 solonoid so when its active it retards 3degrees of timing

Whatever it'll do, then I'll go from there.
My philosophy has always been to use all of what you got, so instead of continuously throwing the checkbook at it, I'll maximize what it has.
I figure with a blueprinted 355, ported LT4 heads, decent cam and 100-150 shot I dont have any excuses if it wont run deep in the 11's with a sorted out suspension. The car may be capable of more, but the driver has to catch up to it.
