OK, it´s old, it´s dirty, it´s chaotic.
But hey, it´s now mine. At least by rent. ;)
Me and two buddys rented that hall/workshop/garage/big shed/ex-barn for little money, it has a lift, lots of tools (even US), welders and other gadgets (i even don´t know how to work with ;) )...
Now I can start to do real mods.
If I only had the money. And a second car.

You still remember? BTW: I love my angle grinder... ;)

Looks great. You can have a lot of fun in that. Hope it didn't cost you too much.

No, it was really cheap. But we had to do some work on it, clean it up, remove tons of dust and crap, repair the electic (safety) circuits of the lift and the roller shutter (one of us is a electrician :) ), but now its fine.

I thought already about a BBQ party there, hehe
But I think I´ll wait until you´re back.
(Do we have to do cosher BBQ then? ;) )

No, the place is near Coburg, 12kms east.
And even though it´s just 5kms from the Hummel factory, not everything in Coburg is just 5kms from the Hummel factory... (<= insider joke..)

@My96z: My friends and I got the whole place (> 360m²), but there´s still lots of trash in it and the previous renter is still using some place for his two cars. But nevertheless its quite big

@Squirrelina: I was looking for someting like this for a very long time and I had also lots of very expensive offers for much smaller places. That hall is located in a very very small village, a friend of mine recommend us as new renters, otherwise we wouldn´t have got it or even found it.
But Coburg is almost in Eastern Germany (10kms from the former borderline), perhaps because of this its here at all easier to find something... :P

Kosher! No Way! If you even bring out chicken I will leave. :) We have been eating chicken for lunch and dinner since, hmmmm, a long time. Since 06 Jan 03. You remember that scene in Forest Gump about all the ways you can fix shrimp? Well imagine that with chicken, but they stopped thinking of more after 10. Breaded chicken breast with sesame seeds is the best. Don't get me started brother.

After the BBQ can we take a field trip to the Hummel factory? What else is there to do in Coburg?

Rob

I hope you won´t start laying eggs or start to cackle soon! ;)
Under this circumstances I would long for some realy bloody red meat, too

What else there is to do in Coburg?
Well, we have the Hummel factory and the Hummel factory. Of course the Hummel factory. Not to forget the Hummel factory. And also the Hummel factory. And, let me think a moment, the Hummel factory, too. Yeah and I have to mention the Hummel factory. You could also visit the Hummel factory. The Hummel factory is worth seeing. Hmm, and many people come to see the Hummel factory. J/K

Well, Coburg consists mainly of "Brose" (big company that produces window lifts for BMW, VW, Mercedes etc. - my girlfriend works there, too)and "HUK Coburg" (big insurance company). They own one half of Coburg each ;) So it should better be called "BroHUK" instead of "Coburg" OK, I´m exaggerating a bit...
Coburg has a nice little city center, some beautiful old buildings, a big castle above the town (the towns landmark), some beautiful rural scenery, a good theatre and a big cinema.
Coburg has no discos and no nightlife, really nothing.
We have only one two-lane-street with traffic lights to do some "street racing" - its max. 400m long  And lots of idiots driving their "amazing" modified "cars".
The next Autobahn exit south is 20kms, west 70km, north 70km and east 80kms away.

As you can see, Coburg is one of the most exciting towns in Germany... *cough* *cough*
