I was talking to a guy yesterday that has a ’88 Vette Convertible and he wants to trade it for my Iroc vert. I’m so tempted of doing it, especially after being sick and tired of trying to make that 305tpi run faster. It only has 2000 miles more than my Iroc has and looks to be in good shape…. I’m really about to do this but at the same time I also think that there has to be a catch here somewhere…. I mean who’s trading a Vette for a Camaro. I really wish I knew what to do… can anyone give me some reasons to stay with the Camaro ?
How do you guys compare the appearance of Fbody drop tops VS. C4 Vettes drop tops ??

Personally, I would stick with the IROC over a C4! I took a look at the photos of your ride, I think you got a great looking car! I never have been to impressed with the C4, now if it was a C5???? Anyways, that's my .02...

Hmm but it only has 40.000 miles, so I don't think he rebuilt it yet

Is this the vette with the 250hp TPI engine?
I test drove a 1990, kinda liked it at all, just don´t like automatics
and its to small for me

I've never driven an IROC vert or a C4 vert. The C4 verts I have seen always look a bit cheap on the interior fittings but then the 80's Camaros were never much to write home about.
I have had an '85 TPi Vette though and I loved it. It's vastly faster than your Camaro and a chip will improve the shifts. It has a separate chassis so will be stiffer than your Camaro and the handling is in a different league. Even the Coupes rattled and creaked and leaked like a drain in a storm so weatherworthiness may be an issue with the vert. I'd also get a wheel alignment check to make sure it all lines up so as to eliminate accident damage repairs and check no-one has jacked it up on the fibreglass floor. Apart from that, check the headlight motors aren't stripped. If it all checks out, check the paintwork very carefully as repairing and spraying fibreglass can cause all sorts of reactions (mine bubbled on the bonnet) and ain't cheap.
I'd swop. He may just need 4 seats.

I would stay with the Camaro.
And I like your's, still mad at myself that I didn't
buy a 88's vert as I had the opportunity.
But I was living with my daughter and my fosterchild
from 250 Deutsch Mark Kindergeld per month back then.
