No a Manta Ray looks different. I would say it is a Bat Ray, also called Bat Sting Ray. He can sting but only to defend himself.

i was in egypt this year, diving. A saw a ray only 5 metres from me. But it was a smaller one with blue points. I like rays, they look great, and they are beautifull swimmers

Yes they are beautiful, I did feed and pet some in Sea World and they are soft like velvet.
They got my interest and reading about them I learned that there are more than 500 various types, grouped in families, huge range of colors, also one called "blue spotted ray" if I remember right.
Rays have a high ratio of brain weight to body weight; they are probably very intelligent, even smarter than sharks- of which they developed from - they also have no bones, similar to sharks. They are very curious animals, observing intruders (divers).
So you got your pet there visiting every day.

The ones at Monterey Bay Aquarium are very sweet. They come right up to you, nearly hopping out of the water to get you to pet them.

the birth width of Mantas is 4 feet, they normally reach about 22 feet width but larger ones were found up to 29 feet width and 3000 lbs weight
but I think this size 2 - 3 feet is impressive enough for a pet
