A guy down in Texas has a "numbers matching" '72 RS Camaro. It looks great! Not a dent. Some surface rust, but who cares?

He was $5500 for it. He has 2 sets on interior for it. Stock wheels. New tires. It even runs!

He tried to tell me that if it was restored, it would be worth $35000!

Does that seem high to anyone? I didn't think fully restore numbers matching 1st Gen's were going for that. Except for the obvious Yenko's, COPO's and ZL1's

Inputs please................

Tell us more about the car. Engine size, tranny type, rear end, options.

I didn't really get into it, but it should have a 350ci w/TH350. He said everything is stock.

How would one check to see if the numbers matched?

I will tell you that a Camaro with a 350 and TH350 is not worth $35K restored. It may take you $35K just to restore it. The price is not bad for the car if it is in pretty good condition. You would have one nice Camaro.
