Maybe one of you guys know. I think I know but rather be sure 1st.
What does most of the work regarding the cooling? The air dam or the fans? I'm asking as my fans stay on constantly from w/in 15 seconds of the car cranking and don't turn off no matter the outside temp. Air pump fuse is fine and the air pump has been long gone, 160 stat, coolant sensor is probably the original. No codes either.
I'm thinking of ditching the air damn altogether since it appears all the air is coming from the fans and this will allow me to put my accusump right under the fan shroud as I have no other place to put it. Even if I went w/ a 2qt sump I run into the same problem.
Any thoughts on this? Thanks.

Once the car exceeds about 20mph the fans does nothing but hinder the airflow process.

Well after some serious consideration the air damn will stay. Order a fan switch to control the fans altogether so I'll see how it goes. That sump can only fit one place and it'll block a 1/3 of my air flow getting the air from the dam. My car runs extremely cool. I'll just keep watch.
