My car should be in Bremerhaven any day now. I was not required to have a front plate in Oklahoma. I am just looking for options and ideas.

SLP make a bracket that bolts on under the nose and then bends up in front of the center of the grill. That is what I have. It would be pretty easy to make. Check their web site.

What is the specific placement required by the inspectors? Does it have to be centered in the middle of the front bumbper?

Chev I don't run the front plate. ONLY when it's time for inspection and right after I take it off. Like a KC said get a L shaped bracket and mount it underneathe the front bumper. That's what I use instead of drilling in the front part of the bumper.

Requirements for inspection it has to be in the front and visible that's it. Can be to the left or right.

I don't run a front bumper either. The funny thing too is that the only people to ever give me trouble about it is the American SPs. I've had Polezei look at my car (In a cool way) and they never said anything about the plates not being there.
