Does anyone know what needs to be done to convert a 1991 Camaro to Euro spec or where to go near Stuttgart to have it done?
Thanks,
Dan

I mean, why would you do that if the u.s spec is held to a higher standard than a german spec? It already has km's on the speedometer. It does'nt have to be german specs to be in germany or to be put in the german system. As far as I know, they dont make conversion kits for any car to go from u.s to german. Also, you will have to change the winshield and the back lights. I just wanted to know why you would do all of that un-neccessary stuff if you dont have to.

Hey!
If his stepson is either German or on the German system, some things have to be changed. What I did with my '92 Z28 is go by the TUV, make an appt to see (there's 1 @ every TUV) the guy who's resp for imports. He'll check the car & tell you EXACTLY what needs to be done. In my case, it need the VIN engraved in the eng compartment, rear fog lite w/lighted switch & low beams w/ integrated turn signals so they can be separated from the side running lights. THAT'S ALL!!!

It really depends pretty much on the TÃœV guy (believe me, i learned this the hard way), so go to the next TÃœV place, ask what needs to be changed, if it seems to be too much, try a different place. THEN start the conversion and do only what he told you, everything else is a waste of time and money...
